Reunion 2008
The big Leavitt family reunion was held at Clear Creek on the weekend of June 27 - 29. We had a great time. There were many people there. On Friday night we had the annual humburger and hot dog roast along with the sing-a-long. On Saturday morning we had a youth softball game and then after that there was an adult softball game. Everyone had fun. After the game we all met for lunch which was chili dogs and potato salad which was yummy. Then we had the family meeting in which we all discussed what to do with the property and where we will have reunion next year. It was decided that we would have all but the softball game at the property next year and we will have the softball games and kids games at Clear Creek. Then assignments were made for next year. The assignment for the Jack Leavitt family is the Saturday Lunch. So all you family members plan on attending so that we can have help with buying, cooking and serving the food for the lunch. That evening we had the traditional dance with Ray and his daughter Amber singing. As always it was alot of fun. Sunday was church under the pavillion which I heard was wonderful. We went to Hurricane for Trents mission homecoming, which I will talk about later, so weren't there. We hope to see you all next year.

WHITE SHIRT FUNDRAISER
Uncle Barney's son Marv and his wife Sue Leavitt are serving a mission in West Africa. They are collecting funds for white shirts and ties (for the deacons) for each of the five branches that are in their area. Each shirt and tie costs $12.00 in Nigeria and they would like to purchase 10 for each of the branches. If you are touched, moved and/or inspired by this opportunity please send checks made out to: Marv (or Sue) Leavitt and mail them to: Russ Leavitt at P O Box 20355, Mesa, AZ 85277
Please send what ever you can it is going to a great cause and you can see where the money is going.

This picture is taken at their Primary Activity Day. The Nsukka Branch Primary with their Primary President (in African Dress) and Sister Dibia the Enugu District Primary President…the children and dressed and ready to perform their cultural dance…how cute are they?

This picture is taken in the chapel as President and Sister Garff teach the children about the Temple…you should have seen their faces, and you could have heard a pin drop they were so focused on the Garff’s and their sharing time experience.

Welcome to the New Website
Hello all... I have had the www.leavittfamily.com domain for years now, but just never really had a use for it. But lately I have noticed that more and more of us have blogs and it was hard to remember how to get to all our blogs. On the right side of this blog there are all the links to family members sites that I know of. If you know of any more then drop me an email (b r a n d o n @ b r a n d o n s h e p h e r d . c o m) and I will add them to this site.
Additionaly the time it took to get to all the blogs to see if there was anything new could be shortened by pulling the last 5 post titles onto this site. So this site can now be a quick view to see if there is anything new going on in the family. The last 5 posts from all our blogs are at the bottom of this page
Pass this site on to the rest of the family and link to it from your blog so everyone has access to it.
